Rocky started RainMakers Talent as part of RM Select, Inc. in 2015, after a successful career of 30+ years in the retail, fashion & the commercial furniture industries. These industries focus on highly creative talent, many of whom are strong leaders and builders that make a difference.

Rocky has worked with many RainMakers over this time and has grown world-class brands. He has a passion for identifying and growing top leader talent; this includes building key business leader relationships, acquiring top talent globally, leadership coaching and development; building teams and culture shaping. He has led Executive Search efforts, including building elite executive search teams within the businesses that became strategic weapons for the company, producing an influx of strong leaders that fostered years of peak growth and profitability.

Since starting RainMakers Talent, Rocky has realized that helping faith based not-for-profit firms is his passion, or as he puts it..."I love recruiting for God' and identifying the very best leaders for these firm's needs, while placing them with speed and accuracy (a listing of companies is included on our client page).

Rocky holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a dual major in marketing and psychology from Kent State University, an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University with a concentration in business and organizational development and an AMP from Harvard Business School & the Richard Ivey School of Business (Hong Kong). He is a consummate learner with post-graduate education/development through universities including; The Ohio State University, University of Michigan, New York University; Oakland University, and the University of Missouri – St. Louis. He has taught in MBA, Undergraduate and Executive Programs in the areas of leadership, culture shaping, organizational change and human resources management.

Rocky has served his community in roles as Board Chair and Board member of several community organizations/agencies including The Gathering, Relā, Inroads, The United Way and The Urban League, and Design Outreach. He and his wife Kathy have three grown children and three grandchildren. They are also small group instructors/facilitators for The Legacy Imperative (legacyimperative.org).
